Facts: The lungs in a dugong are very long, extending almost as far as the kidneys, which are also highly elongated in order to cope with the saltwater environment. In Australia, dugongs can be found in the shallow coastal waters around Northern Australia from Queensland/New South Wasles border in the east and to Shark Bay on th Western Australian coast. Their lunchtime special is sea grasses.
